Cade Cunningham Headlines Historic Year as Two Pistons Earn All-NBA Honors
The Detroit Pistons are officially back in the national conversation.
After one of the biggest turnaround seasons in franchise history, Cade Cunningham earned First Team All-NBA honors for the 2025-26 season, joining elite company alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Dončić, Nikola Jokić, and Victor Wembanyama. Cunningham received 60 first-team votes and finished with 414 total points in voting.
The honor marks another major milestone for the Pistons’ franchise cornerstone, who elevated Detroit throughout the season with elite scoring, leadership, and playmaking while helping push the team back into playoff relevance.
But Cade was not the only Piston recognized.
Jalen Duren earned Third Team All-NBA honors after a breakout season of his own. Despite criticism following Detroit’s playoff exit, Duren’s regular season production clearly made an impact around the league. He finished with 121 total voting points and continued to establish himself as one of the NBA’s top young centers.
For Detroit, having two players recognized on the All-NBA teams signals something bigger than individual awards. It is proof the rebuild is moving in the right direction.
Ausar Thompson already secured All-Defensive First Team honors earlier this week, and now Cunningham and Duren add even more validation to the Pistons’ young core.
Detroit may still have growing pains ahead, but for the first time in years, the league is paying attention again.
