Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers Collide in Central Division Showdown
Just hours after the Detroit Pistons sent Little Caesars Arena into a frenzy with a dominant Game 7 victory over Orlando, their next challenge became official Sunday night as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated Toronto 114-102 to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Now, two Central Division rivals will meet with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line.
Led by Cade Cunningham, Detroit enters Round 2 riding massive momentum after dismantling Orlando 116-94, while Cleveland leans on the playoff experience of Donovan Mitchell and one of the league’s toughest frontcourts.
The next chapter of Detroit’s playoff run starts at home. The Detroit Pistons will open their Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, May 5 at 7:00 PM ET at Little Caesars Arena, with national coverage on Peacock/NBCSN.
Game 2 will also stay in Detroit on Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 PM ET before the series shifts to Cleveland for Games 3 and 4.
After surviving an emotional Game 7 against Orlando, Detroit now gets the chance to open Round 2 in front of what should be another electric home crowd as Cade Cunningham and company look to keep this playoff run alive.
